In a tweet Thursday, President Donald Trump blasted the FBI for leaking a list of names of DNC members and aides.
Trump said the list included a “bombshell” about the party’s finances and had been given to the White House by a person who worked for DNC Chairman Tom Perez, who resigned on Wednesday.
The list also included emails and other records of communications among DNC staffers.
Trump’s tweet came days after a series of reports revealed the FBI had obtained a cache of emails from a former DNC contractor and other DNC staffers, including emails that showed Perez had been personally seeking to discredit former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign and had discussed ways to discredit rival Bernie Sanders.
In a series from October, FBI Director James Comey said he had decided to inform Congress that the bureau had been examining “potential Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.”
